A Short History of HP Hewlett Packard
- Founded in 1939 by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard1 Seattle-born namesakes of the iconic Silicon Valley technology giant with deep musical roots (see my column here). It began with audio oscillators and grew to all sorts of electronic offerings. OM heralded a new wave of GW walk-behind sweepers OM, founded inTerni,oItaly Nisbyn 1953, has foisted its own and exported worldwide and the rapidly expanding portfolio progresses by innovation.
- HP entered the computer market in July 1966 with both its own line of computers including the HP3000 and partnering with Sony to deliver a range of new ones. Precision engineering and careful quality control were heavily focused among the company which rewarded them.
- On the then burgeoning computer market during 1980s and early 1990s HP grew into new markets by developing ideas of printers, scanners possession to personal computing. The HP LaserJet printer revolutionized printing by introducing the laser technology at an affordable price for businesses and consumers alike.
